Farmhouse Sink's New Competitor

You may be wondering if the farmhouse trend is going away anytime soon. Maybe not for the masses. But this variation is gaining popularity.

I'm not sure if there's an official name for this style. I first discovered it in Linda Dannenberg's book French Country Kitchens.


This one is bound to be an antique solid piece of limestone. This may be out of reach for most people. Perhaps your stone installer can think of a way to achieve the same look with cut granite or marble. Of course if you really do live in a farmhouse, you may still be able to source an antique, apron front farm sink. If not, you can order this one:
